The Penny Plan (“we”) respects your privacy. This page explains what happens to information when you visit thepennyplan.com.
Information we collect
We don’t ask you to create an account or hand over personal details to read our articles. Standard, non-identifying data - such as pages visited and general location - may be collected through analytics to help us understand what’s useful.
Advertising and cookies
We display ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons and device identifiers) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet.

- You can opt out of many other third-party vendors’ personalized ads at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
- You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

Consent for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
We use Google’s Privacy & messaging service to provide advertising consent choices for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Where a consent message is presented, use its controls to accept or decline the choices offered and any available privacy-options control to revisit a choice.
Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily mean all advertising cookies are disabled. Google explains that non-personalized ads can still use cookies for frequency capping and reporting, and require consent for those uses where legally required. When the necessary consent is absent, limited ads or no ads may be served, depending on Google’s requirements, the choices made and the settings in effect. We do not promise that refusing consent will always result in non-personalized ads. Browser cookie controls are separate from advertising consent choices.
You also have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We do not ourselves hold accounts or profiles about you; requests relating to ad data handled by Google can be exercised through Google’s privacy controls.
Your US state privacy rights (“Do Not Sell or Share”)
Some US state laws (including the California CPRA) treat serving personalized advertising as “selling” or “sharing” personal information. We do not sell personal information for money, but third-party advertising cookies may qualify as “sharing” under those laws. You can opt out:
- Use the US-state privacy message shown to visitors from applicable states (provided through Google’s certified consent platform) and choose to opt out of personalized ads.
- Or opt out directly with Google at adssettings.google.com and industry-wide at aboutads.info/choices.
- Browsers and extensions that send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal are honored where the law requires.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and this site is not directed at children.
Analytics
If analytics are enabled, they are configured for aggregate, non-identifying statistics (page views, general region). No analytics profile is tied to your name or contact details.
